Public Planning Meeting for Lookout Park

Published: Monday, May 4, 2026

Trails Park and Recreation District is beginning the master planning process for the southeast section of Lookout Park (highlighted in red in the image), and we want to hear from the community.

A public planning meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 20, at 6:30 pm at the Trails Recreation Center (Conestoga Room) to gather initial feedback, ideas, and priorities for future park concepts. Lookout Park is located at the same site as Lookout Pool, but this planning process is focused only on the park area, not the pool.

This meeting marks the very beginning of the master plan process. Community input will help guide early concepts and shape the long-term vision for the park. While Trails Park and Recreation District will continue working behind the scenes after this first meeting, future implementation and construction will depend on available funding sources, matching funds, and the project priority list set by the Board of Directors.

Community members are encouraged to attend, share ideas, and be part of the conversation as we begin planning for the future of Lookout Park.

Unable to attend the meeting? After the meeting, Trails Park and Recreation District will upload the presentation and provide a link to a feedback form. The form will remain open for a couple of weeks so community members can review the information and submit their thoughts.
