Trails Theater Classes for Kids

Our Theater for Kids classes give young performers the opportunity to build confidence, creativity, and communication skills in a fun and supportive environment. Students learn the fundamentals of acting, including stage presence, voice projection, character development, and teamwork through interactive games, scripted scenes, and group activities. Whether your child loves the spotlight or simply wants to try something new, theater helps them grow both on stage and in everyday life.

3 Benefits of taking a Youth Theater Class:

  1. Builds confidence and public speaking skills by giving children regular opportunities to perform and use their voice in front of others.
  2. Encourages creativity and self-expression through imaginative play, character work, and storytelling.
  3. Strengthens teamwork and social skills as students collaborate, problem-solve, and support one another in group performances.

Step into the world of musical theater with this three-week audition preparation class designed for students in high school. This class focuses on choreography, dance terminology, and the skills students need to feel confident during musical theater auditions. Participants will learn choreography to a featured song while becoming familiar with common dance combinations, counts, formations, and performance techniques frequently used in theater productions. Rather than mastering one specific show’s choreography, students will build a strong foundation in movement vocabulary and audition readiness that will help them feel more prepared and confident when cast in future productions. No advanced dance experience is required—just a willingness to learn and perform.
