We’re thrilled to announce that Ridge Park is getting a major makeover. Whether you’re a parent looking for a safe place for your kids to play, a neighbor out for a morning walk, or a family ready to explore together, these improvements are for you.
What's New?
- New Playground: A completely redesigned play area with new equipment and features tailored for children ages 2–12, built to spark imagination and keep kids active.
- Crusher Fine Nature Trail: A new soft-surface trail invites exploration and creativity through the natural landscape — perfect for little feet and curious minds.
- Accessibility Improvements: Enhanced pathways and features to ensure Ridge Park is welcoming and navigable for visitors of all abilities.
- Landscape & Drainage: Updated landscaping and improved drainage infrastructure to keep the park beautiful and resilient through Colorado’s seasons.
This project is made possible with additional funds from Arapahoe County Open Spaces, and we are grateful for their partnership in helping to bring these improvements to life.
Construction for the Ridge Park: 2026 Improvement Project is currently proposed for Fall 2026 through Spring 2027. We will continue to add monthly construction updates below so community members can stay informed on progress, milestones, and what to expect during each phase of the project.

On Tuesday, May 12, Trails Park and Recreation District announced its plans for an improvement project at Ridge Park. This project will include:
