Lookout Pool: Renovation (April 1-15, 2026 Update)
Published: Tuesday, April 21, 2026
Bathhouse Walls and Mechanical Systems Progress
Inside the bathhouse, crews continued framing the walls and door openings, helping define the layout of the future interior spaces. As these framed areas become more established, the shape and function of the new bathhouse become easier to see.
At the same time, rough-in work for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems was underway. This stage of construction is critical because it puts the essential infrastructure in place before walls and finishes are completed. These behind-the-scenes systems will support lighting, ventilation, water service, drainage, and the overall comfort and functionality of the facility.
Crews also began building a CMU wall for the new custodial closet in the bathhouse and pool mechanical area. CMU, or concrete masonry unit, walls are durable and well-suited for utility and service spaces that need long-term strength and reliability.
Leisure Pool Plumbing and Structural Work Advances
The leisure pool area saw several important steps completed during this period. Crews laid the under-pool plumbing that will connect to the various water features planned for the finished pool. This work is a key part of the pool’s circulation and feature systems, ensuring that elements such as sprays, interactive features, and other amenities will function properly once construction is complete.
After installation, the underground plumbing was pressure tested to confirm that the system is sealed and performing as expected before being covered by future construction. Pressure testing is an essential quality-control step that helps identify any issues early, when systems are still accessible.
In addition to plumbing, crews continued framing the structure of the leisure pool and installing rebar in the floor in preparation for the upcoming concrete pour. As with the lap pool, the rebar will reinforce the concrete and help provide the long-term strength and durability needed for the pool shell.
Lap Pool Walls Begin Taking Shape
At the lap pool, crews spent the first half of April preparing for the concrete pour of the pool walls and beginning that pour. This marks another exciting milestone, as the project continues moving from groundwork and reinforcement into more visible structural progress.
The wall pour builds on the earlier work completed on the lap pool floor and wall rebar installation. Once fully poured, the concrete walls will define the shape of the lap pool and move the structure one step closer to completion. The remainder of this wall pour will continue into the next reporting period.
Looking Ahead
The first half of April brought continued momentum to the Lookout Pool renovation project. From bathhouse framing and utility rough-ins to major progress in both the leisure and lap pools, the site continues to transform as the new facility takes shape.
As construction moves through the rest of April, the community can expect to see continued progress on the pool structures, bathhouse systems, and other key project elements. Stay tuned for future updates!
