The Trails Recreation Center was built in 2004 by the Trails Park and Recreation District and designed with the community in mind. We offer a range of programs like sports leagues for volleyball and basketball, challenging group fitness classes like yoga, Zumba, and PiYo (Pilates and yoga combined), personal training sessions, and pottery, art, or dance lessons within our 78,000 square-foot facility.

When is open swim time?
Q: When is open swim time?
A: Open swim time at the Trails Recreation Center has reserved our indoor swimming pool exclusively for family swim (meaning no lessons or classes are happening in the Activity pool). These swim times change, so please check out our aquatics schedule for more information.
Do I need to have a membership to participate in a class?
Q: Do I need to have a membership to participate in a class?
A: The Trails Recreation Center offers a variety of dance lessons, sports leagues, fitness classes, and art sessions. Each of the recreation center programs has a separate fee associated with it, in addition to the membership. This means you do not need to be a member of Trails Park and Recreation District to sign up for a class, though you do in order to register and participate in a drop-in fitness class. Trails Recreation Center partners with a variety of insurances to provide fitness classes to those within retirement age. To register, ask the front desk for the appropriate form or check this page. It will then be passed on to our Fitness Department to process and verify; you will receive an email within 7 days once this is complete.
We cannot contact your Insurance Company personally to determine if you are eligible for these programs; only you can do so to ensure your privacy and information remain secure.
What are the facility age restrictions?
Q: What are the facility age restrictions?
- To use the facility, patrons ages 12 & under must have an adult (16 years or older) with them at all times.
- Patrons ages 12 & under are not allowed to use the cardio & circuit equipment. Those between the ages of 13 and 14 must have an adult (16 years or older) with them at all times. Anyone older than 15 is allowed to use the equipment without supervision.
- Patrons ages 14 & under are not allowed to use the free weight area. Those 15 and older are allowed to use the equipment without supervision.
- Kids 5 and under must have an adult (16 or older) in the water next to them at all times; they also must be wearing a red wristband. Kids 6-9 must have a parent or guardian poolside. Youth ages 10-12 must have an adult in the facility. Anyone 13 years and older are allowed without adult supervision. Everyone must obey the lifeguards at all times.
- Those 12 and under must have an adult (16 years or older) with them to use the track.
- Kids ages 10 and under must have direct adult (16+) supervision to use the gym. Those between the ages of 11 and 12 must have an adult in the facility. Anyone 13 and older does not need adult supervision.
