Trails Recreation Center: Facility Refresh (December 2025 Update)

The Trails Recreation Center: Phase 1 Facility Refresh continued to make exciting progress throughout December, bringing us even closer to reopening refreshed, functional, and welcoming spaces for our community. After November’s transition from demolition to reconstruction, December was all about visible transformation by turning framed spaces into finished interiors.
A Fresh Look Takes Shape
Throughout December, crews focused on finishing major interior elements that truly define the look and feel of the refreshed areas. Walls received their final coats of paint, brightening corridors, offices, and spaces with a clean aesthetic. With the painting complete, the updated layout began to feel cohesive and intentional.
Flooring, Carpet, and Doors Installed
One of the biggest milestones in December was the installation of brand-new flooring throughout the remodeled hallways, offices, and rooms. New carpet was also installed, adding warmth, comfort, and improved acoustics to the space. Alongside flooring, new doors were installed, further defining each area and enhancing both function and flow.
Lighting and Electrical Completion
December also marked the completion of electrical work, including the installation of updated lighting fixtures. These improvements not only enhance visibility and energy efficiency but also elevate the overall atmosphere of the refreshed areas. With lighting in place, the space now reflects the bright and modern vision planned from the start of the project.
Looking Ahead: January Progress & Reopening
As we move into January, the project enters its final phase. Crews will focus on:
- Installing new furniture, including desks, seating, tables, and storage
- Completing final touch-ups and detail work
- Finishing installation of the new bathroom stalls
With these final elements coming together, we are optimistic that the refreshed areas will reopen by the end of January, allowing staff and patrons to once again enjoy these improved spaces.
