Lookout Pool Renovation: Updated Timeline

As many in our community know, the Lookout Pool renovation project is a significant investment in the future of Lookout Pool, focused on improving safety, accessibility, and the overall experience for swimmers for many years to come.
Due to a combination of factors—including delays in the permitting process, construction scheduling challenges, and the limitations of the Colorado summer outdoor pool season—the Lookout Pool renovation will not be completed in time for the 2026 summer swim season.
While this was not the outcome we hoped for, these factors are largely outside of our direct control and are common with complex construction projects of this scale. Moving forward without adequate time to complete the work properly could compromise quality, safety, and long-term durability, which we are not willing to do.
What This Means for the Community
Although the pool will not open for swimming in summer 2026, construction will continue to progress toward completion. Because early fall temperatures are typically not warm enough to support a traditional swim season, we are exploring the possibility of hosting a community open house or special event once construction is complete. This would give residents an opportunity to tour the renovated facility, see the improvements firsthand, and celebrate what’s to come.

Looking Ahead to 2027
We’re happy to confirm that Lookout Pool is expected to open for the 2027 swim season, fully renovated and ready to welcome swimmers back. The improvements made through this project will ensure the pool remains a safe, enjoyable, and modern amenity for our community well into the future.
