Lookout Pool: Renovation (March 16–31 Update)
Published: Tuesday, April 7, 2026
Construction at the Lookout Pool renovation project continued moving steadily forward during the second half of March. Crews made meaningful progress in both the bathhouse and pool areas, with several important structural and infrastructure steps completed.
Bathhouse Flooring and Shower Curbs Completed
One of the major accomplishments during the March 16–31 period was the completion of the concrete flooring in the new bathhouse. With the bathhouse floor now poured, the building is beginning to take more defined shape and is ready for continued interior progress.
In addition to the flooring, crews also framed and poured the concrete curbs and shower curbs within the bathhouse. These elements are an important part of the building layout, helping define restroom, changing room, and shower areas while also preparing the space for future wall construction and finish work.
Lap Pool Wall Reinforcement Continues
Work also continued on the lap pool, where crews focused on rebar installation for the walls of the pool. This follows the progress made earlier in March when the lap pool floor was poured, allowing construction to move upward into the vertical portions of the pool shell.
Rebar is one of the most important structural components in pool construction. It reinforces the concrete, strengthens the pool walls, and helps ensure the finished structure can withstand years of use, water pressure, and changing weather conditions. As crews continue tying and placing rebar throughout the lap pool walls, the full shape of the pool is becoming more apparent.
Once this reinforcement work is complete, the project will be ready for the next step of pouring concrete for the walls and remaining shell sections.
Leisure Pool Framing and Underground Plumbing Progress
The leisure pool area also saw steady advancement during the second half of March. Crews continued work on framing for the leisure pool while also making progress on underground plumbing in that area.
These early construction phases are essential because they establish the systems and structural support that must be in place before concrete can be poured. Underground plumbing is particularly important, as it supports circulation, drainage, and the long-term function of the pool’s mechanical systems.
As this work continues, the leisure pool will be positioned for its next major construction milestones in the weeks ahead.
Looking Ahead
The second half of March brought continued momentum to the Lookout Pool renovation project. From concrete work in the bathhouse to reinforcing the lap pool walls and advancing the leisure pool infrastructure, each step is helping turn the renovation plans into reality.
As construction moves into April, the community can expect to see even more visible progress as pool structures continue to take shape and support systems move further along.
We appreciate the community’s continued patience and support during construction and look forward to sharing more updates as work progresses on the new Lookout Pool.
