Lookout Pool: Renovation

March 1-15 Update

Lookout Pool: Renovation (March 1–15 Update)

Published: Tuesday, March 17, 2026

Construction at Lookout Pool continues to move forward, and the first half of March brought several exciting developments across multiple areas of the site. Crews are making steady progress on both the bathhouse and pool structures, bringing the project closer to the next phases of construction. While much of the work happening right now focuses on structural elements, these steps are essential to building a safe, durable, and modern aquatic facility for the community.

Bathhouse Floor Concrete Completed

One of the biggest milestones this month was the approval of demolition permits. These permits are a critical step, allowing crews to begin safely removing existing structures and preparing the facility for its transformation. With approvals in hand, the project was able to shift into a much more visible and hands-on phase.

With the floor now in place, crews have begun the next steps in shaping the interior layout of the building. Work is underway to pour curbs and frame out the changing rooms and restrooms. These curbs help define the spaces for walls and plumbing systems, ensuring that everything is properly aligned for the next stage of construction.

Once this framing work is complete, wall construction can begin, along with the installation of mechanical systems such as plumbing, ventilation, and electrical components. Each of these systems plays an important role in creating a functional and comfortable space for pool guests.

Lap Pool Floor Poured

Another major milestone achieved during the March 1–15 period was the completion of the lap pool floor pour. Pouring the floor of the pool is a critical structural step that begins to shape the pool basin itself.

With the base of the lap pool now in place, subcontractors have shifted their focus to preparing the pool walls and the rest of the shell structure. Crews are currently installing and tying rebar to frame out the walls and structural components of the pool. Rebar reinforcement strengthens the concrete and ensures the pool structure will remain stable and durable over time.

Once the rebar installation is completed, the next step will be pouring concrete for the pool walls and remaining shell sections. This work is expected to take place in the coming weeks and will mark another visible transformation at the site.

Leisure Pool Progress

Work is also continuing on the leisure pool area. Crews are currently framing out the flooring structure that will support the concrete base of this pool. This preparation stage ensures that the ground beneath the pool is properly reinforced and ready for the next step in construction.

The concrete floor for the leisure pool is expected to be poured in early April. Once that step is completed, the overall structure of the pool basin will begin to take shape, similar to the progress already seen with the lap pool.

Preparing for the Waterslide Tower

Another exciting feature of the renovated Lookout Pool will be the new waterslide platform tower. In the coming weeks, earthwork will begin to prepare the area for the installation of new caissons that will support this structure.

Caissons are deep structural supports that anchor large structures into the ground, providing the strength and stability needed for tall features like slide towers. Installing these supports is an important early step that ensures the waterslide platform will be safe and secure for years to come.

Once the caissons are installed, construction of the waterslide tower structure can begin.

Looking Ahead

The progress made during the first half of March reflects steady momentum across the entire Lookout Pool renovation project. From the bathhouse floor and interior framing to the lap pool structure and upcoming waterslide foundation work, each step moves the project closer to completion.

As construction continues, visitors and residents will begin to see more visible changes as pool walls, structures, and features take shape in the months ahead.

We appreciate the community’s patience and excitement as work continues at Lookout Pool. Stay tuned for the next renovation update as we continue to share progress on this exciting project.
