Lookout Pool: Renovation (December 2025 Update)

December marked an exciting turning point for the Lookout Pool Renovation Project. After we published the November update, the project officially moved from preparation into active construction. While some of the work is happening behind closed doors, meaningful progress is underway across the site.
Demo Permits Approved
One of the biggest milestones this month was the approval of demolition permits. These permits are a critical step, allowing crews to begin safely removing existing structures and preparing the facility for its transformation. With approvals in hand, the project was able to shift into a much more visible and hands-on phase.
Demolition of Existing Pool Structure Begins
With permits secured, crews began demolition of the existing pool structure. This phase involves carefully removing outdated materials and infrastructure to make way for the new design. While demolition can look messy at times, it’s an essential step in ensuring the new Lookout Pool is built on a strong, modern foundation.
Locker Room Interior Work Underway
Inside the facility, work is progressing within the locker rooms. Crews have begun removing interior walls and reconfiguring spaces to support the updated layout. These changes will allow for improved flow, functionality, and a more comfortable experience once the renovated pool reopens.
Pump Room Reconfiguration
Another key area of progress this month is the pump room. Crews are actively reconfiguring this space to accommodate updated mechanical systems that will support the new pool features. These behind-the-scenes improvements play a vital role in water quality, efficiency, and long-term operations.
Momentum Moving Into the New Year
