Finding Your Sports Field Just Got Easier

New Numbered Signs Added at Spring Creek and Piney Creek Hollow Parks

Finding Your Sports Field Just Got Easier

Trails Park and Recreation District (TPRD) is always looking for new ways to improve the experience of our residents, athletes, families, and visitors. This summer, our Parks Team completed an exciting project that will make navigating our parks easier and help highlight the amenities we’re proud to offer. Newly rebranded field signage has been officially installed at Spring Creek Park and Piney Creek Hollow Park, giving each playing field its own clear, visible field number.

This signage installation is part of a larger district-wide effort to better highlight the assets available across our parks and to help participants quickly and confidently find where they need to go—especially during programs, leagues, camps, and community events.

Why the New Signage Matters

For many years, families and program participants have arrived at our parks and wondered, “Which field are we on today?” With multiple baseball and multiuse fields at both Spring Creek Park and Piney Creek Hollow Park, it could sometimes be challenging to know exactly where to go—especially for those visiting for the first time.

The new field markers are designed to remove that uncertainty. They are bold, consistent with TPRD’s refreshed branding, and strategically placed for maximum visibility. Now, all visitors can easily identify the field they’re looking for, whether they’re checking in for a youth sports class, meeting a team for practice, or attending an athletic event.

This enhanced clarity not only helps families arrive on time but also improves the overall flow and organization of programs held at our parks.

Where the New Signs Have Been Installed

Our Parks Team worked across two of our most popular destination parks to ensure all athletic spaces are clearly marked. Here’s what has been updated:

Spring Creek Park is one of TPRD’s busiest athletic hubs, making it a priority location for the first phase of this signage project. New signs were placed at:

  • Three baseball fields
  • Two multi-use fields

These fields host a wide variety of programs throughout the year—from baseball camps and flag football practices to soccer classes and community recreation programs. The new signage helps families quickly identify their locations and reduces confusion during high-traffic times.

Piney Creek Hollow Park also received a full set of upgraded field markers, including:

  • One baseball field
  • Two multi-use fields

This park is home to many youth sports programs, including soccer classes, baseball camps, and community athletic events. With the new signs installed, participants will find it easier than ever to navigate the park and head straight to their assigned field.

Better Clarity for Programs & Registrations

One of the most important improvements tied to this signage rollout is the connection between the new field numbers and TPRD program registration details.

From now on, when you register for any TPRD class, camp, or sports program that takes place at Spring Creek Park or Piney Creek Hollow Park, your confirmation will include the exact field number where your program meets.

Instead of relying on directional guesses or walking the park until you find the right group, you’ll know precisely where to go before you even arrive.

This update benefits:

  • Parents and guardians rushing between activities

  • New participants who may be unfamiliar with the park layouts

  • Coaches and instructors who depend on smooth arrivals

  • Community partners and event hosts who use our parks for rentals

  • Youth athletes who feel more confident knowing exactly which field is theirs

Clarity equals better experiences—and this signage and registration sync is a big step forward in enhancing convenience and accessibility for everyone in our district.

Part of a Larger TPRD Asset Awareness Initiative

The new signage is just the beginning. TPRD is committed to helping the community better understand the wide variety of resources and amenities available throughout our district.

Residents often know their local park, but may not realize how many assets TPRD maintains—including:

  • Baseball and softball fields

  • Multi-use sports fields

  • Tennis and pickleball courts

  • Trails

  • Playgrounds

By clearly identifying our athletic fields with rebranded markers, we’re improving both visibility and awareness of the recreational opportunities available to the public. This project reflects TPRD’s ongoing investment in park improvements, maintenance, and communication—ensuring that our parks remain welcoming, functional, and easy to navigate for all visitors.

A Better Experience for the Whole Community

Whether you’re bringing your child to their first soccer class, attending a community event, or joining a sports camp, these new field signs help remove the stress from the moment you arrive at the park. No more wandering, no more guessing, and no more trying to identify fields by landmarks or nearby trees.

Instead, visitors are greeted with clear, attractive signage that reinforces TPRD’s identity and helps everyone get where they need to go—quickly and confidently.
