Come on St. Patrick’s Day and dive for gold! Gold coins will be scattered throughout the Activity Pool and Lazy River. Work together in teams to race against the clock and collect as many gold coins as they can to redeem for prizes at our prize booth!

Youth, Tween, and Teen Egg Hunt: Our annual Spring Egg Hunt is back—and bigger than ever! This year, we’re expanding the fun to include youth ages 2–20. Kids and teens alike can join in the search for colorful eggs filled with treats, surprises, and maybe even a few golden prize eggs! Hunts will be organized by age group to keep things fair and fun for everyone. Whether you’re toddling through your first hunt or racing with friends for the win, there’s something for every age at this springtime tradition.


Adult Egg Hunt: Swing by Piney Creek Hollow Park for our annual adults-only egg hunt! Scour the park for hidden eggs and run to collect the exclusive golden prize eggs to exchange for a special treat. Treats and prizes will be for adults 21 and older, so be sure ot find a babysitter for the kids, let your friends know, and join us for an egg-cellent time in the park.

Join us on for our semi-annual Art and Pottery Sale at the Trails Recreation Center! All items are handmade by employees or students of TRC. There will be plenty of pottery, jewelry, photography, postcards, knit items, paintings, and sculptures to please any craft fair lover.

Get ready to move, laugh, and get colorful! Our 1-mile Color Run is open to all ages and welcomes runners, walkers, and families. Color stations along the route will brighten your path, and every participant will receive a white Color Run T-shirt perfect for showing off your color splashes.

Join Trails Park and Recreation District at Piney Creek Hollow Park for a FREE event to say goodbye to summer break. On this last Friday before kids go back to school, we will celebrate with food trucks, a children’s market, and lots of outdoor fun, followed by a drone show after sunset! Don’t miss this unforgettable night! You can come anytime prior to sunset, but the drone show will begin after full dark.

The Trails Golf Tournament features a shotgun start, 18 holes of golf, a golf cart for you and your team to ride around in, tournament apparel that will add a flair to your game style, and a delicious luncheon. You’ll also be able to purchase mulligans to help you out on the green and can enter to win prizes from a variety of giveaways. Proceeds go toward Trails Youth Athletics and space is limited, so begin compiling your roster of perfect players and we’ll see you out on the fairway!

Rev your engines and prepare for your day with the coolest vehicles in town at our highly anticipated annual Touch-a- Truck event! This family-friendly extravaganza is a unique opportunity for kids and adults alike to explore, touch, and climb aboard an impressive array of vehicles, from fire trucks to construction rigs. Whether you’re a little one with dreams of being a firefighter or an adult fascinated by the mechanics of heavy machinery, our free Touch-a-Truck event will be unforgettable.

*Join us for a “quiet half-hour” from 9:30-10:00 am for our friends with sound sensitivities.

Celebrate Halloween with us at a fun, family-friendly party in the gymnasium, followed by an optional Halloween Swim in our pool. The indoor Halloween Party runs for 1.5 hours and features bounce houses, games, and more. Kids and parents are encouraged to come in costume. The party wraps up with a festive trick-or-treat trail throughout the recreation center and around the running track, where children can collect candy and small treats.

After the party, families can head to the pool for an additional 1.5 hours of themed swim time. Attend just the Halloween Party, join us only for the Halloween Swim, or purchase a package to enjoy both—choose the experience that fits your family best.
