Spring Creek Trail & Open Space

Spring Creek Trail is a scenic 1.5-mile trail that meanders along Spring Creek, offering a peaceful retreat for walkers, joggers, and nature enthusiasts. About halfway along, it intersects with Mesa Trail, providing access to an extended trail network. The trail also cuts through Spring Creek Park, allowing visitors to enjoy park amenities and the natural beauty of the creek.

Trail Length: 0.5 miles of concrete, with several crusher-fine paths branching out from the sidewalk.

Please obey the following rules, unless given prior written approval by Trails Park and Recreation District.

  • No defacing, misusing, or damaging park structures or facilities.
  • No overnight parking or repairing of vehicles, campers, trailers, or motor homes.
  • No climbing structures, roofs, or trees within park property.
  • No dumping organic, commercial, or household trash on park property.
  • No intoxicated persons or underage consumption of alcohol in the park.
  • Keep motorized vehicles on designated roads and parking spots.
  • No weapons of any kind.
  • No fireworks or fires.
  • Only gas BBQ grills are allowed.
  • No harassing or killing any animals.
  • No remaining on park property outside of posted hours: 5:00 am – 10:00 pm.
  • No amplified music or excessive noise.
  • No staking, piercing, or penetrating of athletic fields.
  • No practicing or playing golf on park property.
  • Keep bikes on designated roads or paths.
  • No littering or leaving trash behind.
  • No glass containers.
  • Keep dogs on a leash and clean up after your pets.
  • No using motorized flying objects in or around park property.
  • Please be courteous and respectful to other park users.
  • No posting signs or flyers.
  • Shelter, pavilion, and field usage for organized activities are only allowed with a TPRD permit.
  • What activities are allowed here? Walking, jogging, disc golf, basketball, and playground fun.

  • Are pets allowed? Yes, leashed pets are welcome.

  • Is the trail suitable for kids or beginners? Absolutely, the trail’s gentle terrain makes it great for all ages.

  • Are there any safety considerations or rules? Standard park rules apply—stay on trails, clean up after pets, and supervise children near playground equipment.

  • Are there any scenic spots, wildlife, or landmarks to look out for? Enjoy open green spaces and the park’s recreational amenities as you walk the trail.
