Rolling with Purpose: A Spotlight on Our Branded Truck

Excitement was in the air at Trails Park and Recreation District as we unveiled the latest addition to our fleet last week – a brand-new truck wrapped in our vibrant colors and new logo! This isn’t just any ordinary vehicle; it’s a mobile symbol of our dedication to provide those in our district (that’s you!) with exceptional parks, trails, facilities, and recreational activities that foster overall well-being.

The new truck wrap on TPRD's service fleet includes the logo, website, and a graphic across the bottom featuring Trails Recreation Center, Lookout Pavilion, and the outdoor pool.

You might be wondering, “Why all the fuss and excitement about a truck?” Well, let us tell you – this isn’t just a mode of transportation. It’s a physical statement of our commitment to keeping our parks pristine, our trails safe, and our community engaged. With this new addition, we’re taking our services to the next level, ensuring that wherever you go within our beautiful parks and trails, you’ll see us hard at work, maintaining and improving your outdoor spaces.

So, what’s so special about this newly branded truck? For starters, it’s a mobile hub of activity, carrying the tools and equipment needed to tackle any task, whether it’s cracked sidewalks, trimming trees, or fixing playground equipment.

This new addition isn’t just about enhancing our fleet; it symbolizes a significant shift in how we oversee our parks and open spaces. Following our rebrand in November of 2023, Trails Park and Recreation District made a deliberate decision to bring many aspects of park maintenance and upkeep in-house. Previously, these responsibilities were outsourced to various contractors, but now, with the establishment of our dedicated parks department, we’re ensuring that our parks receive the attention and care they deserve. By hiring specialized staff and investing in our own resources, we’re reaffirming our commitment to maintaining the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces for the enjoyment of all.

With its eye-catching design proudly displaying our logo and colors, our truck serves as a reminder that we’re here for you – the members of our community who cherish our parks and recreation areas. It shows our commitment to enhancing your outdoor experiences and creating spaces where memories are made, friendships are formed, and families come together.

The Truck Design and Our Commitment

Moreover, the design adorning the lower section of our truck serves as a vivid reminder of the diverse recreational offerings within our district. Featuring iconic landmarks such as the Trails Recreation Center, the pavilion at Spring Creek Park, the hill of Lookout Park Shelter, and the disc golf course at Tall Grass Park, every detail showcases the breadth and beauty of our outdoor spaces. Silhouettes of individuals engaged in various recreational activities – from skateboarding and kite flying to soccer, biking, and running – further highlight the vibrant tapestry of experiences available. This same captivating design is echoed on the bottom of our website, serving as a constant visual invitation to explore and enjoy all that Trails Park and Recreation District has to offer.

By investing in this new vehicle, we’re investing in the future of our parks and trails. We’re ensuring that they remain not only beautiful but also safe and accessible for generations to come. And by being more visible and accessible ourselves, we’re strengthening our connection with you, the heart and soul of our community.

So, the next time you’re out and about enjoying a leisurely stroll through the park or embarking on a scenic hike along our trails, keep an eye out for our newly branded truck. It’s more than just a vehicle – it’s a symbol of our shared commitment to maintaining a sustainable and inclusive future for our community.

Reporting a Park Problem

We do weekly park and trail inspections, but we can’t always catch all the fallen trees, cracked sidewalks, leaking bathrooms, dirty shelters, or playground malfunctions out there. If, while you’re out wandering a park, playing on a field, or biking a trail, you find a problem – let us know!  Email Sean, our Parks Manager, at [email protected], use the form below to report a problem, or call him at 303-269-8411.

Lap Pool Closure

The Lap Pool is closed until further notice due to a suspected broken pipe beneath the pool.

The hot tub, steam room, and sauna will continue to operate as normal. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to address the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you, in advance, for your patience and understanding.
