At Trails Park and Recreation District, we believe in the power of creativity to inspire, uplift, and connect communities. Our Arts & Crafts programs offer a variety of opportunities for people of all ages to unleash their imagination, express themselves artistically, and learn new skills. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just starting out, our classes and workshops provide a welcoming environment to explore the world of arts and crafts. We even offer art classes for kids that’ll allow them to make new friends and have fun making crafts!
Painting: Discover the joy of painting with our diverse range of classes. Explore acrylics, watercolors, oils, and mixed media techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors. Whether you’re interested in landscapes, portraits, or abstract art, there’s a class for you.
Drawing: Develop your drawing skills with our drawing classes. Learn techniques for sketching, shading, perspective, and composition. From still life to figure drawing, our classes cater to artists of all levels.
Crafting: Get hands-on with our crafting classes. Create beautiful and functional pieces using a variety of materials such as paper, fabric, wood, and clay. From jewelry making to woodworking, there’s something for every craft enthusiast.

Registration periods for the Fall 2024/Winter 2025 Arts and Crafts Sessions are as follows:Â
- Summer Session 3 (July 22 – September 1): Opens February 19 at 9:00 am and closes July 22
- Fall Session 1 (September 9-October 20): Opens August 12 at 9:00 am and closes September 9
- Fall Session 2 (October 28-December 15): Opens August 12 at 9:00 am and closes October 28
- No class evening of October 31, week of November 25-29
- Fall Session 3 (January 6-February 16): Opens August 12 at 9:00 am and closes January 6
- Fall Session 4 (February 24-April 6): Opens August 12 at 9:00 am and closes February 24

Parent Tot Art: 2-5 years
If you’ve been searching for kids’ art classes, look no further! Turn messes into masterpieces and help kindle your child’s creativity with a toddler art class that will both entertain and educate. A parent or guardian is required to attend and participate alongside each child enrolled.

Printmaking: 7-13 years

Under the guidance of Ms. Susan, an experienced instructor from Paint Cellar, children ages 9-15 will learn the step-by-step process of painting, from initial sketch to final brushstroke. Painting with Susan is a kids’ painting class that will help students explore various painting techniques, discover their unique artistic style, receive personalized guidance, and add their individual creative touches to make their own masterpieces. As a class we will have fun seeing each other’s works and gain insight into our own possibilities.
