Guided by one of our experienced instructors, you’ll explore a variety of asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques) designed to enhance your strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. Each session is tailored to meet the needs of the participants, offering modifications and adjustments to suit your individual abilities.

  • Intensity Level: Beginner – Advanced
  • What to Expect: A well-rounded class that focuses on improving your physical and mental well-being. You’ll leave feeling refreshed, centered, and ready to take on the day.
  • Class Times: Check our schedule for available drop-in times. You can register for classes up to 75 hours in advance.

 

Yoga Sculpt: If you’re looking to add an extra challenge to your yoga practice, Yoga Sculpt is the perfect class for you. This intermediate-level class combines traditional yoga postures with strength training, using small weights to tone and sculpt your muscles. The result is a full-body workout that not only improves your strength and endurance but also deepens your connection to your breath and movement.

  • Intensity Level: Intermediate
  • What to Expect: A dynamic class that blends the best of yoga and strength training. You’ll work up a sweat while enjoying the mindful movements that yoga is known for.
  • Class Times: Yoga Sculpt classes are available throughout the week. Check our schedule and register up to 75 hours in advance.

Specialty Fitness: Advanced Yoga Arm Balance & Alignment

For those ready to take their yoga practice to the next level, the Trails Recreation Center offers a specialty fitness class designed to challenge and refine your skills. Our Advanced Yoga Arm Balance & Alignment class is perfect for individuals who want to explore more advanced yoga movements and focus on proper body alignment.

Advanced Yoga Arm Balance & Alignment: This small group class is ideal for yogis aged 18 and up who are ready to deepen their practice. The class emphasizes arm balances, which are some of the most challenging and rewarding poses in yoga. These movements require not only physical strength but also mental focus and precision.

In addition to arm balances, the class also focuses on body alignment—an essential aspect of practicing yoga safely and effectively, especially when attempting more difficult poses. Proper alignment helps prevent injuries and ensures that you are getting the maximum benefit from each pose.

The class also incorporates yoga-based wellness principles, covering movements that aid in various aspects of health, such as digestion, sleep, and optimal breathing. This holistic approach helps you build a strong, balanced body while also enhancing your overall well-being.

  • What to Expect: A challenging and rewarding class that pushes your physical and mental limits. You’ll learn advanced techniques that can take your practice to new heights.
  • Requirements: Yoga blocks are required for this class. If you don’t have your own, they can be purchased at the front desk.
  • Class Registration: Specialty fitness classes open for registration on the 15th of the preceding month and close on the 25th. Be sure to sign up early, as space is limited.
