As we step into May, the Trails Recreation Center continues to progress with remarkable advancements and finishing touches. This month marked significant milestones in both the interior and exterior of the facility, making it increasingly ready to welcome the community. Let’s take a closer look at the highlights from May!
Setting the Stage with Structural Foundations
May began with essential groundwork, including the drilling and pouring of light pole bases and footings for walls in the childcare patio area. These foundational elements are crucial for creating a safe and functional environment for all visitors, especially our youngest patrons.
Completing the Exterior Charm
The exterior stonework reached completion this month, enhancing the building’s aesthetic appeal. Alongside this, 40% of the exterior aluminum window frames and glazing have been installed, allowing natural light to flood the interior while maintaining energy efficiency.
Gym Gear and Scoreboards
Excitement is building as gym equipment and scoreboards have arrived on-site! These features are essential for the multi-purpose functionality of the center, promising to cater to various fitness and recreational needs for the community.
Swimming Pools and Climbing Walls
The installation of the swimming pool is well underway, a focal point for many future visitors looking to enjoy leisure and fitness activities. Additionally, Monolithic Sculptures has completed the climbing wall, with only the flooring left to be finished toward the end of the project. This exciting feature will offer thrill-seekers an opportunity to test their skills in a safe environment.
Elevator Installation and Lighting Upgrades
With the elevator installation now complete, accessibility throughout the facility is greatly enhanced. Furthermore, the installation of ductwork and rough plumbing has been finalized, and the lighting fixture installation has commenced, adding ambiance and functionality to the spaces.
