Behind the Build: August 2004
As we move through August, the transformation of the Trails Recreation Center is truly taking shape! This month has been filled with exciting advancements as we focus on the finer details that will make our facility a welcoming and functional space for the community. Let’s explore the highlights of this month’s construction progress!
Landscaping: Beautifying Our Surroundings
August marked significant progress in our landscaping efforts. Fine grading for landscape work and detention ponds has been completed, and the installation of the landscaping irrigation system is well underway. The layout for tree planting has also begun, ensuring a beautiful environment around the leisure pool and throughout the facility.
Interior Finishes: Creating a Welcoming Atmosphere
Inside the center, caulking work is progressing both internally and externally, enhancing the building’s energy efficiency and aesthetics. The installation of interior ceramic tiles is nearly complete, contributing to the elegant design of our spaces. We’re also excited to report that the sauna and steam room installations are substantially complete, offering our future patrons relaxation options after a good workout.
Ceiling and Flooring: Putting on the Final Touches
As the acoustical ceiling installation continues, painting crews are working hard to add vibrant colors throughout the facility. Various flooring operations—wood, VCT (Vinyl Composition Tile), and carpet—are also in full swing, with graphic painting on wood floors beginning to take shape.
Aquatics Update: Pools Progressing
In the aquatics area, the liner installation in the lap pool is nearly complete, while work progresses in the leisure pool. We’re looking forward to these vital components being finished, as they will provide wonderful recreational opportunities for everyone.
