Behind the Build: June 2004
As summer kicks off, the Trails Recreation Center’s construction reaches new heights! June was a bustling month filled with significant advancements that bring us closer to realizing our vision of a vibrant community hub. Let’s explore the exciting developments that took place this month!
Transforming Spaces with Interior Finishes
This month saw the excavation and backfill for two exterior patio areas, setting the stage for outdoor relaxation and socialization. Inside, we’ve kicked off the interior millwork with the installation of casework in the kitchen and vanities in the locker rooms, adding both functionality and style to these essential spaces.
Progress in Drywall and Ceramics
With drywall installation nearing completion, the center is taking shape beautifully. Ceramic tile work is well underway, and the ceiling grid and tiles are progressing nicely. The painting crew has also made great strides, infusing color and personality into the various rooms throughout the facility.
Art in Motion: Pool Rock Sculpture
In a creative twist, work has commenced on the pool rock sculpture, promising to be an eye-catching centerpiece that enhances the aquatic experience. This artistic feature will add a unique touch to our swimming areas, inviting families and children to enjoy the water in an aesthetically pleasing environment.
Skatepark Update: Ready to Roll
Exciting news for skate enthusiasts! The approval process for the skatepark has officially wrapped up, and the site has been cleared for construction. This new addition promises to offer thrilling experiences for skateboarders and BMX riders, making the Trails Recreation Center a one-stop destination for fun and recreation.
What’s Next?
As June comes to a close, the anticipation builds for the grand opening of the Trails Recreation Center. With every passing day, we move closer to providing a welcoming space for fitness, fun, and community connection.
